Programs for students with educational or physical handicaps,
speech, or language problems are provided at each school
site, coordinated through the district's Special Education
Department.
Students receive services through a Learning Center, with
a Special Day program at the middle school.
We work closely with the Placer County Office of Education
to meet the requirements of IDEA. Every effort is made to
ensure that students are able to function successfully, compete
academically, and gain social skills as they progress through
school.
Parents play a vital role in the delivery of services for
students with special needs. Parents meet annually with specialists
to determine their child's needs and design a program for
their child.
